Kelly is a 35 year old lifelong north Texan; the proud aunt of two precious nephews & a niece, and a dog mom to a French Bulldog named Frankie. Kelly enjoys her freedom and autonomy as a single and childless woman and, for now at least, plans to keep it that way. In order to support her puppy and her podcasting, Kelly works from home as a Commercial Insurance Account Manager. She is a creative, a question-asker, an Enneagram 8w9, and a lover of *all* the animals.
Also a lifelong church girl, Kelly spent 30+ years in two very different traditions within conservative evangelicalism. In 2019, she left evangelicalism behind in search of a more authentic, inclusive, liberating tradition, and is now a member of the Episcopal Church.
Kelly is passionate about seeing all people — especially women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ folks -- welcomed, affirmed, elevated, and using their gifts in the Church or for the good of others. Jesus’ table is wide and open, and a feast is set. So let‘s party.
Kelly Wolfe is the host of Let It Matter - the site, blog, and now the podcast! Kelly began writing and blogging in 2011, shortly after the tragic death of her older sister. A grief counselor encouraged her to start creating something — to take her internal tangled mess of grief and externalize it … make something beautiful out of it. So Kelly started her first blog, which was an intimate look at grief in all its angles and stages and how it intersects with every other part of life. She wrote there for over 8 years as frequently or infrequently as the season called for. In 2019, Kelly started Let It Matter in order to keep blogging on a platform that wasn't being sundowned by Google, but also to share her passions for other creative outlets like teaching/leading bible studies, guided meditations, resource-sharing, spiritual mothering and leadership, and more. Kelly was eventually invited to be interviewed for a few different podcasts and publications which are linked on the Media tab, as well as creating her own video content and sharing it there. As the Let It Matter Blog began to grow a committed band of subscribers and readers during COVID, Kelly began to branch into recorded Zoom conversations as a way to offer mixed media on her blog, for those who prefer to watch or listen rather than read.
In July of 2022, Kelly was asked to join Devi Abraham as a guest cohost (while her other cohost, Jess Van Der Wyngaard, was out on maternity leave), on their established and popular podcast untangling the effects of leaving behind evangelical purity culture, called Where Do We Go From Here? Kelly joined as cohost from July to December of 2022, where she helped produce and cohosted episodes on topics ranging from consent to abortion to adult sex-ed & female pleasure to when LGBTQIA+ loved ones come out to us and much more! After that, Kelly got the bug for podcasting as a creative outlet, and as a means of resourcing people with trustworthy voices and perspectives (one of her favorite things). So, she launched the Let It Matter podcast in December 2022. Kelly is not only the host, she also produces and edits this show! Every episode you hear is her brain child from its start to finish, including all admin, interview booking, prepping and planning for the direction & tone of the interviews. She also edits multi-track audio in order to create the finished podcast episode, and creates all episode graphics for social media.
